Paula Wolski Ensemble

Paula Wolski Ensemble brings together some of Finland's leading musicians in the fields of Finnish folk music and American roots music. Nelli Ikola-Heiska's (fiddle & vocals) broad musical experience in both Finnish folk music and bluegrass has seen her take part in countless projects and performances in clubs and on the theater stage. Kalle Jämsen (guitar) is a masterful folk guitarist who has been instrumental in developing the Finnish folk scene from its beginnings in the seventies. Jani Snellman's (double bass) extensive musical career includes everything from heavy metal to old time and from Finnish folk music to classical baroque music. Jarmo Romppanen (mandolin) is also a well-known and accomplished folk musician with a career spanning more than 30 years.
